ATTENTION MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS AND PARENTS:
Any Middle School Student wishing to participate in sports must turn in their parent permission slip and sports phyicals as soon as possible to Mr. Mantooth. If you need more information please see Mr. Mantooth.
MIDDLE SCHOOL (Grades 6-8)- ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Eligibility is on a weekly basis. Eligibility starts over every week. Eligibility starts on a Monday and goes through Saturday. There are two requirements students are to meet in order to stay eligible. First a student must recieve a 3 or better on "Characterisistics of a Successful Learner" in every class per week. A student that is ineligible three weeks during a sports season will be REMOVED from the team.
"Characteristics of a Successful Learner" include:
1. Completes class assignments.
2. Completes homework in a timely and satisfactory manner.
3. Participates in class activities as a productive and respectful group member.
4. Self assesses and sets goals for further learning.
5. Takes responsiblity for own actions.
6. Follows school, class, and playground rules.
7. Shows respect for self and others' ideas and property.
GIRL'S VOLLEYBALL MEETING:
There will be short meeting on Friday (August 28, 2009) at 3:05 in the gym. If you are interested in playing volleyball you need to attend this meeting. We will discuss sports physicals and other material that must be turned in before the first practice.

Shakespeare Club
Gilpin Shakespeare Club will be performing in the Denver Public Schools Shakespeare Festival in May 2010. The festival takes place at the Denver Center for Performing Arts. Students from schools around the district present scenes from Shakespeare's plays.
